Statement of Work - Coaching and Mentoring for Career Development

Objective

The purpose of this project is to provide coaching and mentoring services to support career development. This initiative aims to enhance participants' professional skills, self-awareness, and confidence, equipping them to achieve their career goals.

Scope of Services

The coaching and mentoring program will focus on the following areas:

  • Goal Setting and Career Planning: Assisting participants in identifying and setting realistic career goals aligned with their strengths, values, and interests.
  • Skill Development: Identifying skills necessary for career progression and creating strategies for acquiring and strengthening these skills.
  • Self-Assessment and Reflection: Encouraging participants to assess their strengths, areas for improvement, and key career interests through structured assessments and reflective exercises.
  • Networking and Relationship Building: Guiding participants on building effective professional networks and relationships that align with their career aspirations.
  • Work-Life Balance and Resilience: Teaching strategies to manage work-life balance and develop resilience in a demanding professional environment.
  • Feedback and Performance Improvement**: Providing constructive feedback to enhance professional performance and address any obstacles to career advancement.

Deliverables

The following deliverables will be provided:

  • Individual Coaching Sessions: Personalised coaching sessions tailored to each participant’s unique career goals and challenges. Sessions will be held biweekly or as agreed upon.
  • Career Development Plan: Supporting participants to develop a career development plan where necessary.
  • Progress Reports: Monthly progress reports detailing the participant’s development, insights gained, and any adjustments to the career plan.
  • Resource Toolkit: Applying frameworks to assist participants to develop individual strategies for different circumstances.

Timeline

The coaching and mentoring program is expected to run over a 9-month period, beginning on 20 September 2024 and concluding on 30 June 2025. Coaching will be tracked via time and materials, with Defence to be invoiced monthly.

Responsibilities

Provider Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality coaching and mentoring services.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Develop and adapt program content based on individual needs.

Participant Responsibilities

  • Attend all scheduled sessions and complete assignments.
  • Actively participate and engage in the coaching process.
  • Provide feedback to ensure program effectiveness.

Success Metrics

Program success will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  • Achievement of participant’s short- and long-term career goals.
  • Participant’s self-reported growth in career confidence and clarity.
  • Progress in skill development as identified in individual career plans.
  • Participant satisfaction and feedback on the program.

All discussions and documents exchanged during the coaching and mentoring process are strictly confidential and will not be shared without prior consent.
