Tender ID: 575042
Tender Details
Tender Description
The Fred Jobson South Community Centre, a multifaceted facility serving a diverse range of community groups including a preschool and various community organisations, is encountering significant challenges with its aging air conditioning system.
The increasing frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, coupled with the evolving needs of the community, have further exacerbated the system's limitations. The preschool necessitates precise temperature and humidity control to ensure the well-being of young children. Additionally, the community groups utilising the library and other spaces within the building require comfortable and healthy indoor environments.
To address these issues, the Broken Hill City Council is exploring options to upgrade its air conditioning system. This may involve a comprehensive overhaul of the existing central system or the integration of supplementary package air conditioning units in specific areas, such as the preschool and library.
The goal of this upgrade is to:
• Enhance indoor air quality and thermal comfort.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all building occupants.
• Increase the flexibility and adaptability of the building to future needs.
By carefully assessing the building's specific requirements and exploring various technological solutions, the Centre aims to create a sustainable and comfortable environment for years to come.
