This Contract involves the urbanisation of Kippenberger Avenue between Bellgrove Subdivision and 102 Kippenberger Avenue, and two path extensions on East Belt and the eastern end of Kippenberger Avenue to provide key multi-modal links.

The main tasks involved in this Contract are:

•  Installation of new kerb & channel
•  Construction of a new 2.5 m wide path along Kippenberger Ave
•  Extension of the existing 2.5m wide shared path east of Bellgrove Subdivision
•  Construction of a new 1.8m wide path on East Belt extending to the East Belt / Kippenberger Avenue roundabout
•  Installation of associated drainage assets
•  Berm, garden bed and street tree installation
•  Widening of existing road carriageway
•  Parking Bay Construction
•  Liaison with residents and businesses along Kippenberger Avenue
•  Roadmarking

2.6 Timing

This contract includes three Separable Portions, with Separable Portion C being subject to having adequate budget to complete the works. As such, all items included within Separable Portion C are consider Provisional, and payment will be made on the basis of authorised work completed.

The dates for the Contract shall be those defined in Sections 5.4.1 and 10.2.1 of Schedule 1- Special Conditions of Contract – Specific Conditions. The start date shall be 10 working days following award of Contract, with a construction period of 65 working days as per the below;

• Separable Portion A – 40 Working Days

• Separable Portion B – 10 Working Days

• Separable Portion C – 15 Working Days

The Contractor shall programme all Separable Portions such that the Contract works is complete no later than 28 May 2025.

For the purposes of programming, award of tender is expected to be Monday 10th February 2025.
