Hydro Tasmania is currently progressing the new Cethana pumped hydro scheme through to a Final Investment Decision (FID), currently planned for end-2026.

Hydro Tasmania has developed the procurement strategy for the implementation phase which is based on a single EPC contract delivery model for primary construction and electrical/mechanical equipment delivery. Details of the procurement strategy will be available as required for the delivery of the services under this RFP.

An expert in investments and investment decision criteria relevant to a project of this type, scale and market context is needed to work alongside the team to deliver an investment business case as appropriate for Hydro Tasmania as a state-owned Government Business Enterprise.
