Tender Description
The project is focused on Council’s ongoing commitment to promoting road safety, improving stormwater infrastructure, and creating more climate resilient streetscapes. Council proposes to improve the amenity of Queenstown by transforming the full length of Victoria Street, Queenstown from Portland Road to Old Port Road into a more vibrant boulevard that supports Council’s ‘Green Streets’ initiative. This project is jointly funded by the Australian Government Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) program, Green Adelaide and the City of Port Adelaide Enfield.
Key features of the streetscape upgrade include:
Stormwater upgrades
Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) treatments including rain gardens, Kerb Space Inlets and terrestrial gardens
Reconstruction of the kerb & gutter to improve water runoff flows
Landscaping, tree planting and irrigation works
New footpaths and verge upgrades
Road resurfacing works
Line marking works
