Blacktown City Council (Council) is seeking proposals from parties interested in leasing Council’s building asset (former baby health centre) located at 7 Parkside Drive, Lalor Park.

Blacktown City Council (Council) is seeking proposals from parties interested in leasing Council’s building asset (former baby health centre) located at 7 Parkside Drive, Lalor Park.

The Lalor Park property has an area of 676 m2 and is strategically located at the heart of the Lalor Park Community Precinct.

The former baby health centre comprises 3 rooms, a kitchen, bathroom and 10 parking spaces.

Council is keen to re-activate the site and will look favourably at services that can bring direct value to the community and complement other services in the area.

Scope

The development and use of the property must have regard to relevant planning controls, including:

· the zoning of the land as R2 Low Density Residential under Blacktown Local Environmental Plan 2015

· development controls under Blacktown Development Control Plan 2015 (e.g. car parking requirements)

Submittors are required to make their own enquiries about permissible uses and approval requirements.

If any works or development are proposed, the successful Submittor will be required to obtain Council’s consent as the landowner, to submit a development application (separate to Council’s role as the consent authority) for the property.

Council’s development assessment team will then assess the application, subject to notifying adjoining and nearby property owners and residents. As Council is the landowner, the development application would be determined by the Blacktown Local Planning Panel.
