Tender Description
The NHMRC e-ASIA Joint Research Program supports Australian participation and collaboration in leading international research through the e-ASIA Joint Research Program (e-ASIA JRP). The e-ASIA JRP supports international joint research projects in the East Asia region.
The e-ASIA JRP selects research projects through an open call for proposals. Fields of cooperation are decided among the e-ASIA participating member organisations and funding is for up to three years.
The 2025 NHMRC e-ASIA Joint Research Program grant opportunity will support Australian participation and partnership in international collaborative research through the e-ASIA JRP 14th call for proposals under the Health Research funding stream.

Eligibility:
Applications will only be accepted from NHMRC approved Administering Institutions. A list of NHMRC approved Administering Institutions is available on the NHMRC Administering Institutions website.
Applications must satisfy all the requirements set out in the 2025 NHMRC e-ASIA Joint Research Program Guidelines.
The e-ASIA JRP has specific eligibility criteria for applicants. Applications will be excluded from consideration if eligibility requirements are not met, including:
• A minimum of three collaborating partners from supporting member organisations participating in a call topic, per application.
• Applications specific to each participating member organisation must be completed by the Chief Investigator/Principal Investigator in their respective country. More detailed eligibility requirements can be found in the e-ASIA 14th Health Research common call guidelines available on the e-ASIA website.

$3,000,000.00
Estimated Grant Value (AUD):
From $100,000.00 to $750,000.00
Instructions for Application Submission:
Applications must be submitted electronically using NHMRC’s online Sapphire Grant Management System unless otherwise advised by NHMRC.
A complete NHMRC e-ASIA JRP Scheme application must consist of the following:
• Completion of all elements of the NHMRC e-ASIA online application form
• Completion of all elements of the Sapphire My Profile section; and
• An uploaded PDF copy of the submitted e-ASIA Common Application form.
Note – The common application form must first be submitted to the e-ASIA JRP Secretariat by the collaborative project Lead Principal Investigator (PI). The Common Application form is available from the e-ASIA website.
Other Instructions:
Minimum data must be entered into NHMRC’s granting system Sapphire by 17:00 AEDT (UTC +11) on 19 March 2025.
