The High-Performance Compute (HPC) Upgrade is the computing and storage infrastructure for Research and computational science processing in Peter Mac. This includes usage for molecular pathology, machine learning research, statistical analysis tools and computing for Research core facilities: Functional Genomics, Microscopy, Flow cytometry and Bioinformatics. Peter Mac’s HPCC is based on technology implemented in 2016, with storage refresh in 2021, is end of life and has reached maximum capacity. It is no longer able to provide sufficient or reliable service. This is impacting Peter Mac’s ability to perform research activities and to continue providing timely molecular pathology services.
