In response to a need for an uplift in FHIR skills in the Australian workforce the Agency has been funding specific FHIR fundamentals training for the past two years and will again be funding the delivery and development of FHIR training in 2025.

There is a need to understand the skills gaps that still exist, (not restricted to FHIR), and to understand the measures that can be taken both in the short term (1-2 years) and the longer term (3-5 years) to meet these training needs.
