Maganns Crossing is the local name given to a shallow flood causeway on Baradine Road. Baradine road is generally flat and the road surface level at the causeway is around 1.5m lower than road approach levels.

The purpose of this RFT is to enter into a contract with a Civil Construction Contractor to construct a seven (7) cell box culvert structure and associated roadworks.

In general, the scope of works for this project includes the following list of works:

- Preparation of QA management plans as listed in the Preliminaries document.

- Site set out including surveying of earthworks quantities.

- Establishment and maintenance of soil and water management control measures.

- Construction of a one lane sidetrack for diversion of traffic. Sidetrack surface is to be bitumen sealed.

- Maintenance of sidetrack for the duration of construction.

- Removal of sidetrack and disposal of excess material to landfill at Coonabarabran.

- Removal and wood chipping of trees.

- Foundation preparation for concrete base slab

- Construction of concrete base slab including steel fixing.

- Supply, deliver and install box culvert crown units

- Construct concrete apron, wingwalls and headwall

- Earthworks including excavation of waterway channel, road subgade preparation and hauling to Coonabarabran landfill any excess spoil.

- Construction of unbound pavement

- Bitumen spray sealing of pavement.

- Supply and installation of safety barrier fence

- Supply and installation of road signs.

- Supply and installation of guide posts.

- Supply and installation of linemarking

- Landscaping including hydromulching of exposed ground surfaces.

- Traffic management
