UoS Open Tender for Veterinary Science Practice Management System
Tender ID: 576204
Tender Details
Tender Description
The University Veterinary Teaching Hospitals (UVTH) comprise of a network of facilities that integrate veterinary care, education, and research. This includes the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney (UVTHS), University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Camden (UVTHC), and the Wildlife Health and Conservation Hospital (WHCH). These hospitals provide essential training for veterinary students and serve the local community through the provision of veterinary care. They also contribute to veterinary science through research and innovation in animal care practices.
Currently, UVTH requires a state-of-the-art Practice Management System (PMS) to support key functions, including patient health record management, client information, medication dispensing, financial management, accounting, and reporting.
The PMS is vital for the daily operations of teaching, research, and patient care across the UVTH network. Its stability, functionality, and ease of use are crucial for supporting staff, students, and patients while meeting the global accreditation requirements of the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program.
A robust, fit-for-purpose PMS is essential for optimising UVTH operations. It will streamline client record management, scheduling, and billing, reducing administrative burdens and improving service quality. In a teaching environment, the PMS will enhance departmental coordination, enabling staff to focus on patient care and student training.
Our goal is to select, procure, and implement a SaaS solution that meets the needs of all stakeholders (facility staff, researchers, and senior management) by:
- Automating administrative tasks (appointments, invoicing, reminders) to improve overall efficiency.
- Enhancing the tracking and management of patient health information to improve care and treatment outcomes.
- Improving communication with clients (e.g., appointment reminders, billing details) to boost client satisfaction and retention.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant veterinary regulations and data protection laws.
- Designing a scalable system to accommodate clinic growth.
- Reducing operational costs by automating routine tasks and improving overall practice management.
We are currently preparing a detailed scope of requirements and plan to release a 'Request for Tender' (RFT) process around late January 2025.
