Statement of Requirements
The Western Australia Police Force’s Mounted Section maintains between 20 and 30 police horses including operational horses, yearlings, remounts (in training) and retired horses.
Note: Quantities of horses specified may fluctuate over the period of the Contract due to operational requirements.
The WA Police Force is seeking to establish a Panel of suitable Contractors to meet their veterinary requirements under the following four categories:
Category | Description |
Category 1 – General Veterinary | Includes routine health care such as, but not limited to, x-rays, worming, drenching and consultations |
Category 2 – Hospital | Includes a range of medical and surgical treatments such as, but not limited to, 24-hour emergency care, anaesthesia, autopsy and surgical procedures |
Category 3 – Optical | Specialist services involving the diagnosis and treatment of vision and eye issues |
Category 4 – Dental | Specialist services involving the examination, treatment and management of their dental health |
Briefing
A non-mandatory site visit at Maylands Police Complex to view the facility and the horses will be conducted on the below dates and times. Respondents, if attending, must advise Simone Surin via simone.surin@finance.wa.gov.au the time and date they intend to visit. Respondents, if attending, are only required to attend one session as the sessions will be the same. Respondents must confirm their attendance by Monday, 20 January 2025, 17:00 AWST.
