Translink (a Division of The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR)) is responsible for the delivery of buses, trains, ferries and trams across Queensland, with responsibility for regional bus services, demand responsive transit, taxi regulation and long-distance rail, coaches and regional air. Our vision and purpose are creating a single integrated network accessible to everyone. We partner with a range of Queensland service providers and government agencies to deliver high-quality public transport services, ticketing information and infrastructure.
We are constantly improving our network and services to make it easier to use public transport. TMR established The Smart Ticketing Project to deliver a new innovative ticketing solution for Queensland public transport. The Smart Ticketing Project is responding to customer needs by providing more choice in how customers plan and pay for their public transport journeys. In addition to go card and paper tickets, customers can pay using their Visa, Mastercard, and American Express debit and credit cards, including cards in the digital wallet of their smartphone, smart watch, or other smart device.
The purpose of this Invitation to Offer is to appoint a suitably skilled and experienced external services supplier of Qualified Electrical and Air-Conditioning maintenance and installation services to undertake: the six-monthly testing, and repair/replacement of faulty units as required, of Residual Current Device (RCD) breakers at Southeast Queensland Translink locations. This also includes the yearly servicing of air conditioning units located within Translink Equipment Rooms at Southeast Queensland TransLink locations, the yearly servicing of Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) units and minor electrical repair works as required.
The Supplier will also be required to undertake civil works in and around Southeast Queensland Translink locations on an as required basis. The intention of the civil works is to ensure that Translink locations are safe, accessible and DDA complaint. Some examples of the work required includes but is not limited to the adding, removal, reallocation and making good of surfaces in and around:
• Plinths.
• Handles.
• Safety rails.
• Ticketing vending and validator machine installation and / or removal including weather protection surrounds.
• Note: Risk management control measures must still meet or exceed TMR and Queensland Rail standards. WHS requirements must be in line with applicable Legislation and Standards including WHS and DDA.
The Supplier will also be required to establish a secure Customer Relationship Management Portal during the first three months of the contract to enable the secure transfer of the records, information and audit and defect reporting.
This could include the ability to provide:
• Testing and works undertaken.
• Defect reports including photos (with time/date stamp).
• Invoicing.
• Work orders / Quotations.
• KPI Performance.
• Repair and maintenance requirements.
• Weekly production reports to Translink.
• Reporting.
• Up-to date insurance documentation.
• The professional qualifications / safety certificates and credentials for all staff attending Translink locations.
