Council is seeking to engage contractors for a Civil Works Panel for a variety of civil works up to a value of $400,000

Scope of Works:

1. Please note these works are in close proximity to Bethany Christian School and Temple Christian College. In order to minimise impact to the School Community, these works are to be completed within during a school holiday period. The contractor is to provide a construction program as part of the tender submission. The contractor is to include within the methodology how impact to the school community is to be mitigated for any works not completed by the end of the school holidays.

2. Pedestrian and traffic management is required for the duration of these works as part of the tender submission.

3. 1 x VMS board is to be installed to provide advanced notification of works. Wording is to be confirmed by City of Salisbury Project Manager at time of works.

4. The contractor is to provide a letterbox drop to residents a minimum of 2 days prior to the commencement of works. An allowance of up to 40 residences for this letterbox drop is required.

5. Remove vegetation, organic matter, foreign objects/waste where required. Include, but not limited to existing traffic management signage within area of works. Dispose of all waste off site.

6. Box out for new spoon drain, kerb and indented parking bay. Compact sub grade to 98% MDD. Proof roll of the sub grade is to be included within the ITP and signed off by Council.

7. A minimum of three (3) compaction tests to be completed on the sub grade within the indented parking bay. These are to be evenly distributed but concentrated in areas of highest vehicle wheel loading.

8. Supply, spread and compact granular material to create 150mm thick base, compaction to achieve 96% MDD as per provided drawings. Proof roll of the base course is to be included within the ITP and signed off by Council.

9. A minimum three (3) compaction tests are to be completed on the base within the indented bay. These are to be evenly distributed but concentrated in areas of highest vehicle wheel loading.

10. Construct 150mm thick reinforced concrete (32MPa) indented parking bay as per provided drawings. Concrete batch test certificates are to be provided to CoS as part of the quality assurance documentation.

11. Construct reinforced concrete (32MPa) spoon drain as per CoS standard drawing SD-10.

12. Construct concrete (25MPa) 150mm barrier kerb as per CoS standard drawing SD-09.

13. Re-instate edge of bitumen as per CoS standard drawing SD-39.

14. Box out for new paved footpath, ensuring any stormwater pipes are clean cut. Compact sub grade to 95% MDD as per City of Salisbury standard detail SD-32.

15. Reconnect all stormwater pipes through to kerbing. Supply and install top hats. Refer to City of Salisbury standard detail SD-42.

16. Supply, spread and compact 25mm Type C sand base to achieve 95% MDD compaction as per City of Salisbury standard detail SD - 32.

17. A minimum of two (2) x compaction tests within the footpath area. These are to be evenly spread through the area of works.

18. Supply and install new 1.5m wide block paved footpath as per drawing and specification list. Utilise Adbri Villastone 60mm thick interlocking pavers in Port Blend colour.

19. Supply and install 4 x no parking signs as detailed within page C02 of the provided drawings.

Note – signage proofs are required to be reviewed and confirmed by the City of Salisbury Project Manager prior to ordering and installation.

20. Install line marking as per the provided drawings.

21. Clean and tidy site and make good any damage to Council assets and landscaped surfaces.

Ensure all surfaces achieve a smooth transition to adjoining landscaping or surfaces.
