Tender Details
Tender Description
Welcome to the University of Sydney Open Tender for Emergency Communications System (Project ID: WS2293573437).
The University of Sydney, founded in 1850, is Australia's oldest and one of its most prestigious institutions, renowned for high-quality education and cutting-edge research. With multiple campuses across Sydney and beyond, the University serves a diverse and dynamic community of staff and students.
Over the past year, the University has encountered several disruptive incidents, including aging infrastructure issues, evolving security threats, and extreme weather conditions. These events have highlighted the need for enhanced emergency communication systems to ensure the safety and security of all individuals across our various campuses.
Currently, our emergency communication technology is hindered by manual processes, incomplete data, and limited channels. As a result, we are seeking to establish a comprehensive, state-of-the-art Emergency Communications System that will improve our emergency response capabilities and integrate seamlessly with existing University systems. This initiative is a key part of our broader strategy to strengthen our Organisational Resilience Framework and enhance our Emergency and Incident Response Plan.
Key requirements for the new system include:
- Expanded emergency communication capabilities to enhance safety and security for staff and students across all University locations.
- Mobile duress, lone worker, and two-way check-in functionality to improve real-time safety monitoring.
- Integration with University systems to increase automation and data integrity.
- Increased visibility of warden coverage with two-way communication during incident response and building presence.
We are preparing a detailed scope of requirements and plan to release a 'Request for Tender' (RFT) process around early February 2025.
If your organisation can provide a solution that meets the following mandatory criteria, we encourage you to register your interest and participate:
- Provider of a comprehensive, leading Emergency Communications System (ECS) solution that can meet at least the target requirements listed above (more to be included in the tender documentation).
- Cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) model, with 24/7 support.
- Proven experience delivering ECS solution in multi-campus and University environments.
- Australian presence.
- Compliance with the University's cyber and architecture requirements.
Please note, if your solution does not meet any of these mandatory requirements, we kindly ask that you refrain from registering your interest.
