Wellington City Council (WCC) own and operate 474 car parks in the Tory Street car park and operate the 910 space Clifton Terrace car park on behalf of NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA).

The car parking equipment at both sites is coming to the end of its economic life is becoming expensive to maintain.

This procurement relates to the Replacement of the existing Vehicle Entry/Exit Equipment and maintenance thereof for Clifton Terrace and Tory Street Car Parks.

New equipment will assist Council in delivering an improved and more reliable customer experience.

The services in scope for this RFP include, but are not limited to:

• Supply and installation of equipment (including obtaining all necessary consents)
• Remedy of defects and provision of maintenance during the warranty period
• Supply of all manuals and documentation
• Supply of on and off-site training
• Supply of upgrades; and
• All other prerequisites for the supply and installation of the equipment

We expect supply and installation to be undertaken in two phases, with the Tory Street Car Park to commence first in Q2 of 2025 and the Clifton Terrace Car Park in Q3 of 2025.
