Description

Australian Prescriber is a free, independent, peer-reviewed journal committed to promoting the judicious use of drugs and therapeutics in Australia.
The Stakeholder Network comprises representatives from a range of professional societies and colleges, acting as a crucial link between the journal and the broader healthcare professional community, supporting the work of the EAC.

As a College Representative on the Editorial Advisory Committee, you are expected to:

  • contribute ideas for topics, authors, and peer reviewers
  • provide feedback at least annually on authors, peer reviewers, or proposed article scopes
  • actively engage by participating in discussions and initiatives to ensure Australian Prescriber remains responsive to the healthcare professional community
  • have the opportunity to observe an Editorial Advisory Committee (EAC) meeting
  • may also attend an EAC meeting as a stand-in if a member of the Committee is unable to attend and we may not have a quorum for decision-making.

Network members are encouraged to subscribe and promote the journal and relevant articles within their organisation's membership (e.g., through newsletters, social media).

Participation of Network members is acknowledged on the Australian Prescriber website and back cover of every issue. If a Network member is commissioned to author or peer review an article, this would be managed according to the standard processes.

The appointment as Network representative does not have a fixed term – it’s up to the individual organisations to appoint their representative. If that person wishes to step down, the organisation will be contacted to appoint a replacement. The role isn’t financially remunerated.
