The City of Stirling (the Principal) owns a vehicle and plant fleet of more than 1000 items, ranging in size from garden equipment to trucks, other engineering equipment, excavators and loaders. Electrical faults develop in this fleet which require skilled rapid attention to restore the item to full service capability. Of particular significance in this fleet are 31 waste trucks which provide waste clearance services to the City area. These vehicles have specialised electric/electronic systems related to their hydraulic operation for which specialised knowledge is required to permit rapid restoration of truck functionality.

The Principal requires a Contractor to provide auto electrical, air conditioning and hydraulic electrical (computerised) maintenance and repairs to the City’s fleet assets on an ad hoc basis. This service is to ensure that the City’s Assets are functioning according to manufacturer’s guidelines and specifications. It is important to maintain a very high fleet availability.

Basis of Contract Award

The Principal intends to award a Contract to one (1) Respondent.
