OVERVIEW

The Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is intending to release a Request for Tender (RFT) in April 2025 and is seeking Expressions of Interest for the provision of Civil Works for the Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix events (Event), to be held at Albert Park, Melbourne (Site) from 2026 onwards.

EVENT

The Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix event is held over a four-day period, typically in March/April each year.

Construction of infrastructure to facilitate the Event is carried out over a 12 week build period in accordance with a strict Construction Programme, with dismantle beginning immediately following the Event. Full dismantle is required within four weeks of the Event.

SCOPE OF WORKS

The Civil Works scope includes, but is not limited to:

• preliminaries, including provision of own Site facilities;
• transportation from AGPC’s storage yard, unpacking and repacking the AGPC owned containers and equipment;
• Installation and removal of temporary pavements and excavation and remediation of buried footings
• supply, installation and removal of gravel for track run-off traps
• Installation and removal of various track infrastructure including TecPro barriers, tyre inserts and conveyor belt
• supply of watercart and sweeper as requested by the superintendent and track cleaning prior to the Event
• Provision of a civil standby crew during the Event including street sweepers; and
• other miscellaneous works as may be requested by the Superintendent.
