Glenavy School currently has 4 Ministry owned teaching spaces at the school. The roll has grown rapidly in 2023 due to a sudden, large increase in the number of In-zone student enrolments in Mid-2023. There is currently a deficit of one teaching space at the school. This project will see the relocation of existing MOE owned buildings from Waitaki Girls High School to Glenavy School.

The buildings will then be established with a ramp and covered deck access connecting them into the school in a functional manner. The new buildings will function as teaching spaces and multi-use spaces for learning support and other functions.
