The Aotearoa New Zealand AFRM Committee seeks expressions of interest from an Aotearoa New Zealand - based Fellow to fulfil the position of training co-ordinator for rehabilitation medicine.
Description
The position is a member of, and supported, by the Aotearoa New Zealand AFRM Committee.
The coordinator shall be responsible for the formulation and coordination of educational activities for Aotearoa NZ AFRM trainees.
Other responsibilities include
- being available to counsel doctors who are considering Rehabilitation Medicine as a career option
- monitoring the progress of trainees, giving feedback and advice where appropriate
Essential attributes for the role
- demonstrated experience in leadership
- demonstrated understanding of the medical education environment
- attitudes of cooperation and positivity and high standards of ethical behaviours
- strong administrative and organisational skills
- commitment to quality assurance and continuous development
- demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills
- acknowledges Te Tiriti ō Waitangi/The Treaty of Waitangi and the foundation principles of bicultural partnership, participation and protection it guarantees
Members are appointed for 3 year terms.
