Tender Description
The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for submissions the design and construction of the proposed new Industrial Technology and refurbishment of the Hospitality building for Pine Rivers State High School located at 535 Gympie Road, Strathpine QLD 4500.
The scope of works includes the following:
New Construction
Construct a new single storey building within the preferred building one identified on the site map as detailed in the respective space allocation table providing:
• Two (2) senior construction areas, consisting of:
o One (1) construction workshop.
o One (1) covered outdoor project construction area.
• A materials store area.
• A dust plant room.
Refurbishment Works
Refurbishment of Three (3) workshops in Block B (B01, B03 & B03)
• Internal painting
• Refurbish existing hardwood floors
Refurbishment works to Block B04
• Retain existing hardwood flooring but refurbished.
• Retain existing work benches.
• Provide improved teaching wall with whiteboard, space for future IFP TV.
• Connect existing machinery not already connected to the dust extraction reticulation.
• Undertake internal painting.
Block B Extension to B09 Engineering Shed to provide:
• Weather protection to outdoor construction court.
Refurbish D Block functional spaces:
• Increase the capacity of the junior kitchen to 28
• Increase the capacity of the fashion and textile learning space to 28
• Relocate laundry to adjoin the textile room
• Create a new resource preparation area
• Install a cold room adjoining senior kitchen, including any adjacent structural upgrades.
Demolition and Relocation
• Demolish and reinstate section of perimeter security fence to accommodate new senior ITD building as required.
Footpath:
• New footpath linking the ITD building to the spine of the school.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors with a minimum PQC rating Level 3.

IMPORTANT: Where a PQC Level is stated, the Principal is not obliged to provide a tender document, consider or accept a tender unless the tenderer: is pre-qualified under the Queensland Government’s Prequalification (PQC) System to the nominated level (or higher) ; satisfies financial requirements; and meets project-specific criteria.
