Sydney Trains is looking to explore the market to identify companies that have capability in providing advanced 3D scanning and modelling platforms.

Project goals

1. Test the platform’ s capability to capture and model real-world objects and spaces with precision.

2. Assess user experience, including ease of onboarding, interface intuitiveness, and workflow integration.

3. Assess the compatibility of exported 3D models with existing design software used by Sydney Trains.

4. Identify additional functionalities that could enhance project workflows.

Scope

Sydney Trains is seeking a software platform/solution capable of delivering features which include:

1.3D Scanning Tools: Usability and accuracy of capturing environments and objects i.e. trains,train parts, drone captured images of sites and assets

2.Editing Features: Ability to clean, modify, or refine scanned models

3.Integration and Export Options: Compatibility with industry-standard formats (e.g. Point Cloud,Auto CAD, Revit, Solid Works etc.) and integration with existing tools

4. Collaboration and Sharing Capabilities: Cloud-based sharing and accessibility features.

5. Performance Metrics: Application performance under varying conditions and project scales
