The University of Adelaide, established in 1874, has over 25,000 students and 3,500 staff and researchers. The University has a strong reputation internationally as a leading research and teaching institution.

The Australian String Quartet (ASQ), is based in Room 106 of the Hartley Building at the University of Adelaide. 106 Hartley is in need of a considerable refurbishment to enhance its prestige and functionality. The space is currently in poor condition and needs to reflect the ASQ's status while also serving the broader needs of staff and students at the Elder Conservatorium when the ASQ are on tour across Australia.

We are seeking a contractor with expertise in restoration of heritage timber, fabrication of high quality skirtings and trim, and ability to manage a small team of subcontractors to ensure excellent quality restorative work to the room.

The bulk of the work will involve careful restoration of the flooring and installation of surround curtains to improve the rooms acoustic qualities, with a modest mix of carpentry and electrical work.
