Shellharbour City Council is accepting sponsorship Expressions of Interest for the 2025 Local Government Regional NAIDOC Awards being held in July.

The Regional NAIDOC Awards acknowledges the talents, achievements and outstanding contributions that local Aboriginal individuals and organisations make to improve the lives of people in their communities.

“This is a great opportunity for local businesses and organisations to play a significant role in showcasing our local Aboriginal culture and excellence,” Mayor Chris Homer said.

Becoming an event sponsor offers valuable exposure to a diverse audience of professionals, community leaders and potential clients, while also gaining significant media attention.

“We look forward to partnering with our event sponsors, who’s incredible support is vital in helping make the 2025 Regional NAIDOC Awards possible,” Mayor Homer said.

The regional NAIDOC Awards are organised collaboratively by local councils Shellharbour, Wollongong, Kiama and Shoalhaven, with Shellharbour having the honour of hosting the 2025 event at the Shellharbour Civic Centre on Saturday 26 July.

Sponsorship Packages include:

• Burri Burri (whale) - Platinum Sponsors will receive premium brand exposure throughout the promotion of the event including all print, web and social media. Receive recognition in multiple formats during the event. Sponsors will present one of the honoured Elder of the Year Awards with their logo featured on trophy. They will also receive a complimentary table (10 x tickets) at the ceremony.
• Ghoon a ghaan (starfish) - Gold Sponsors will have prominent brand positioning throughout the promotion of the awards, event collateral and acknowledgement on the night. Sponsors will also present an award and receive tickets for the ceremony.
• Garliwa (koala) - Silver Sponsors will be included in pre-event promotion with verbal acknowledgements on the night and have their logo displayed on the event program as well as on a sponsored Elders table.
