Warrnambool City Council (Council) is seeking quotations for an annual Kerbside Collection Bin Audit to be completed over the next three years. The project will measure the volume of materials, contamination rates and presentation rates for each waste stream present within the municipality.

Warrnambool City Council (Council) intends to conduct three annual kerbside collection audits on their residential bins as part of the Kerbside Reform program funded by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). The data collected from the audits will inform Council on the contents of the four waste streams and provide a baseline to assess the effectiveness of education campaigns and behaviour change initiatives that will be undertaken in the future.

The aim of the kerbside collection audits is to collect data from the kerbside waste streams across Warrnambool’s Municipality to use as a baseline and as reporting for the kerbside reform.

The project output will include a complete audit of the kerbside collection in Warrnambool - in line with the kerbside reform fund and the guidelines for auditing kerbside waste in Victoria.
