Tender Description
The Council is seeking Tenders from suitably qualified and capable contractors to construct the redeveloping of Yallambie Pavilion, 2A Moola Close, Yallambie, VIC 3085.
As part of the Banyule City Council's Capital Works Program for the year 2024-25, the Council is planning to redevelop the Yallambie Park Pavilion.
Yallambie Park is located in Yallambie, Victoria and has been the long-time home of Banyule City "Bulls" Soccer Club. The pitch is purpose-built for football only, with a small pavilion at the south end and tennis courts behind that. So little has changed over the years, with no apparent changes even though the senior team has done considerably well.
As part of the Banyule City Council's Capital Works Program for 2024-25, the Council is planning to redevelop Yallambie Park Pavilion & public toilet. The project's objective is to upgrade the existing pavilion, including reconstructing the changing rooms, toilets, and showers to meet current compliant standards and constructing a DDA car park. It also includes construction of a new public toilet block adjacent to the playground and demolition of the existing block following completion of new block.
A site visit has been arranged with the Project Manager for 11 February 2025 at 10:00 am.
Background information / Compatibility requirements
The scope of works generally includes but is not limited to construction activities involving:
• Mobilisation and site establishment.
• Set out of works.
• Ensuring the works are undertaken safely and in accordance with all Council, Melbourne Water and statutory safety requirements.
• Location and protection of any underground and above-ground services in the works area.
• Demolition and reconstruction of existing public toilet.
• Demolition work, as shown in the architectural drawing no CD-102.
• Remove existing light fittings on the east side of the building. Remove part of the fascia and capping and prepare for the new roofing junction.
• Remove three trees. Allow for excavation, site stripping, and relocation of any existing services. Work includes relocating the existing irrigation system.
• Supply and plant 9 No. Replacement trees are subject to the Council's approval for the planning permit.
• Create an accessible toilet as shown in the architectural drawings; the work includes all new sanitary fixtures, vanity, wash basin, accessories, flooring, false ceilings, windows, and doors.
• Create changing rooms for males and females. The work includes all new sanitary fixtures, vanity, wash basin, accessories, partitions, showers, benches, flooring, false ceilings, windows & new doors.
• Create an accessible car park. The work includes pouring concrete on the footpath, as the architectural drawings show.
• Supply & install new synthetic grass for the area between the pavilion & public toilet.
• Asbestos removal of the cement sheet for external porch ceiling lining, after submitting Asbestos audit dev. 6.
• Pour concrete into the front of the existing first aid room.
• Supply & install Cobra bike rack, bike fix station
• All electrical work, mechanical, hydraulic, structural, & Civil works, as shown in the drawings.
• Construction fencing and ancillary works.
• Documentation of as-constructed information, including all inspections, testing and survey.
• Replace the gas water heater with an electrical water heater (heat pump).
• Construction of the new public toilet. The work includes all excavation, concrete, structure, roofing partitions, tiling, mechanical, hydraulic, civil & electrical works.
• Please note that the location of the public toilet will be as shown in the drawing no 202304-SP001 dated January 2025, not as shown in the drawing no WD100 or WD101.
• Inspection and testing of the works.
• Site clean-up & handing over.
• The work is divided into two areas:
- Area 1: New changing rooms, showers & toilets
- Area 2: Public Toilet
