The NSW Telemetry Uplift Program is seeking suppliers for the supply and installation of telemetry devices across eligible water sources in the Murray-Darling Basin.

Project goals
- Install 2500 telemetry devices across eligible and surface water sources within the Murray-Darling Basin
- Improve real-time data collection to support better water resource management
- Ensure compliance with NSW water metering regulations
- Reduce the burden of manual reporting on water users by automating data transmission
Scope
The successful tenderers will be responsible for:
1.Landholder Engagement
- Engage with eligible landholders to secure consent for installations
- Provide clear communication on the project’s objectives, benefits, and technical requirements
2.Supply and Procurement of Telemetry Devices
- Supply telemetry devices compliant with NSW Data Logging and Telemetry Specifications
- Devices must be tamper-evident, have a minimum operational life of 5 years, and transmit data securely every 24 hours
- Ensure compatibility with existing metering systems (Pulse and Modbus meters)
3.Installation and Validation
- Install telemetry devices at approved sites as per project standards
- Register and validate devices through the WaterNSW DQP Portal
- Provide post-installation documentation to Landholders, including user manuals and warranties
4.Monitoring and Warranty Management
- Provide a 12-month defects liability period
- Address any operational/installation defects
