SCOPE OF WORKS

The Public Address System scope includes the provision of audio systems including (but not limited to) microphones, cabling, signal processing and loudspeakers throughout the entire circuit including the track, General Admission areas, Hospitality facilities and the Pit Building complex and shall include the equipment necessary for the routing of all the audio signals and the distribution thereof via both local cabling installed by the Contractor and the existing, permanent fibre cabling system throughout the circuit.

The works are based on the supply on hire of the required equipment, the installation thereof (including the supply of local cabling) and the operation of the system for the four days of the event and subsequent removal thereof.

The Contractor shall be entirely responsible for the whole public address system as detailed herein and shall provide all resources necessary either directly or by use of approved sub-contracted organisations.

The public address system shall comprise the supply, installation, complete testing and commissioning and the continuous operation of all equipment and services specified herein within the defined termination points.

The Works under the Contract shall also include, but not be limited to the following:

• preliminaries, including provision of own Site facilities;
• manufacture, installation, maintenance and removal of the following works:
• public address amplifiers (on a hire basis);
• public address speakers (on a hire basis);
• speaker connection cables, including the installation thereof;
• microphones – various types (on a hire basis);
• amplifier huts and associated facilities (on a hire basis);
• mixing desk(s) (on a hire basis);
• signal processing equipment (equalisers, delay lines, compressors, limiters (on a hire basis);
• site cabling for Podium area;
• pit lane speaker support brackets and speakers;
• Connection to television distribution systems (corporate, media and executive);
• Connection with Host Broadcaster for Podium sound, unilateral sound, media interviews, international television commentary and ceremonies;
• System operation as required during race week, media centre sound system operation including all conferences, interviews, and the like, in accordance with current FIA regulations
• Podium equipment and support services;
• Pit straight ceremony equipment and support services.
• Site technical personnel, equipment, vehicles and crib rooms, office, change rooms and the like;
• Complete site installation (except main cabling), testing, maintenance, operation, removal post event;
• Testing and commissioning of the permanent cabling and speaker systems;
• Preparation of drawings (electronic, AutoCAD and PDF format) to fully define the interconnecting systems to all other systems;
• Coordination of all matters relating to the public address system.
