The Alpine Shire Council is seeking quotes for a comprehensive toilet audit and renewal plan for all Council-owned toilet facilities, including those owned by the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA). The primary objectives of this project are to assess the current condition of each facility, identify gaps in service provision, ensure that we meet the needs of our community effectively and determine end of life per facility.

The audit will begin with a detailed desktop review of existing Macutex audit reports and current conditions of the toilet facilities. The consultant will analyse these reports alongside the geographic locations of the toilets to evaluate the adequacy of our facilities throughout the Shire.

We are also inviting consultants to quote, as a separable portion, to undertake site visits of the toilets across Alpine Shire to better determine existing conditions.

Following the audit, the consultant will develop a ten-year renewal plan exclusively for Council toilets. This plan will outline timelines for the end-of-life of facilities and provide recommendations for necessary upgrades, refurbishments, or replacements. The aim is to ensure that all facilities remain safe, accessible, and aligned with community needs and sustainability goals.

Data from the Macutex audits, along with the locations of all existing toilets, will be provided to the successful consultant to inform their analysis and recommendations.
