Background: DCCEEW are seeking a Construction Contractor with proven experience in delivering complicated structural builds in remote locations. These works will require experience in rigging, and the ability to design temporary structures to allow construction off a raised cliff face.

Objective: To allow walkable access for visitors in Kakadu National Park to Twin Falls, which hasn't been recently accessible by the public.

Scope: The proposed boardwalk access path at Twin Falls includes 10 separate segments of varying lengths and complexities. These sections involve ground level natural paths, cantilevered steps at height, and low-level boardwalks. The most complex section includes a cantilevered boardwalk which rises to an elevation of 26m above a water filled gorge. The boardwalk has culturally sensitive areas nearby, likely presence of crocodiles in water ways and will require environmental monitoring for flora and fauna.

Insurance Requirements:

Public Liability: $20,000,000

Professional Indemnity: $10,000,000

Contract Works Insurance: In an amount not less than the value of the works.

Timeline: To be delivered during dry Season 2025
