This Request for Information (RFI) seeks to identify companies capable of providing the integrated solution (detailed in the subsequent section) and demonstrate a commitment to effectively delivering the proposed system and services.

What we need

Auckland Council is seeking an “integrated water-efficient solution” that comprises the necessary investigation, equipment, technology, and an irrigation specialist.

This solution aims to address multiple challenges in the current system listed below while enhancing water and cost efficiency, accuracy, and sustainability:

1. Identifying and confirming irrigation meters, ensuring the provision of dedicated irrigation meters, and recording their GPS coordinates.

2. Monitoring irrigation water use in real-time, with alert and regular reporting capabilities.

3. Assessing and forecasting soil and weather conditions to support decision-making for creating optimised irrigation schedules.

4. Auditing water use and irrigation by FFMs and setting up water-efficient irrigation thresholds or key performance indicators (KPI)

5. Enabling remote monitoring and control of irrigation systems.
