We're working with the LGBTIQA+ Community to create a permanent Memorial for the City of Yarra at Collingwood Town Hall Park (St Phillips Reserve). Anticipated for completion and installation in 2026, the memorial will recognise the loss of all LGBTIQA+ community members who have died of suicide.

How to apply

To be commissioned via a two-step process, we're seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from artists by Tuesday 11 March 2025.

Artists are required to respond to questions about their working methodology and provide an artist bio, CV and images of previous works.

Shortlisted artists would then proceed to the next step.

Victorian artists working in all media and in all stages of their career that identify as part of the LGBTIQA+ community are encouraged to apply. A strong history of producing public art works is desirable.

Applications to be submitted via the Smarty Grants portal.
