Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) for Sydney Trains Rolling Stock Fleet Maintenance Centres and Stabling Yards.

Project goals

Sydney Trains are seeking proposals from suitably qualified and experienced suppliers for the supply of HVAC services at the various Sydney Trains Fleet Maintenance Depots andStabling Yards.

The services primarily include:

• Routine services - Work with Sydney Trains indeveloping an HVAC Maintenance Plan for each site and then support delivery of those services to ensure they are being managed appropriately including: Ongoing Maintenance

• Ad-hoc Services

• Emergency Call-outs (24/7)

• Non-urgent works and

• Next day services on request

The Fleet Maintenance locations are spread across alarge geographical area and suppliers may bid for work across various regions.

Scope

This activity aims to promote the following:

• maximising the system and equipment availability and reliability,

• maximising the useful lifespan of equipment to minimise life cycle cost,

• reducing costs to increase value of spending through improvements in efficiency of maintenance,

• controlling health and safety risks to the Principal’s personnel and contractors, served by or otherwise involved with, the Serviced Equipment,

• enhancing engineering practices to be developed through constant improvements in technical competence, good planning and safety
