The Australian Government is inviting Disability Representative Organisations (DROs) and Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs) via a restricted process to apply under the Inclusion and Accessibility Fund: Australia’s Disability Strategy: Community Attitudes from 2025 to 2027.
This grant opportunity will fund projects proposed by Disability Representative Organisations (DROs) and Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs) that focus on reducing harm towards, and increasing inclusion of, people with disability. The objectives of the grant opportunity are to:
- lift the disability responsiveness and inclusive communication capability of key professional workforces.
- support grass roots efforts to create safety and inclusion in communities by improving understanding and shifting mindsets in relation to disability, and barriers to inclusion of people with disability.
The intended outcomes include reduced harm towards people with disability through:
- improved community attitudes
- strengthened opportunities for social participation, employment, and other outcomes.
Grants can be used for research and development costs, delivery of tools and training, accessibility requirements and consultation.
Eligibility:
To be eligible you must meet the criteria as a DRO/DPO and be one of the following entity types:
- Company
- Cooperative
- Corporate Commonwealth Entity
- Corporate State or Territory Entity
- Incorporated Association
- Indigenous Corporation
- Local Government
- Non-Corporate Commonwealth Statutory Authority
- Non-corporate State or Territory Entity
- Non-corporate State or Territory Statutory Authority
- Partnership
- Person
- Sole Trader
- Statutory Entity
- Unincorporated Association.
If you are applying as a Trustee on behalf of a Trust , the Trustee must be one of the eligible entity types listed above.

Grant Activity Timeframe:
Assessment of applications - Within 4 weeks from the closing date
Approval of selection process outcomes - Within 6 weeks from the closing date
Notification to applicants - Within 6 weeks from the closing date
Negotiations and award of grant agreements - Within 9 weeks from the closing date
Notification to unsuccessful applicants - Within 9 weeks from the closing date
Earliest start date of grant activity - June 2025
End date of grant activity - 30 June 2027.
