The Theatre Royal & Heritage Facility / Museum Redevelopment project for the Timaru District Council includes an upgrade of the Theatre Royal on Stafford Street, Timaru, together with the design and construction of a new Museum / Heritage Centre on the rear of the site. This Request for Proposal relates to the provision of Civil Engineering design services. The Civil Design Engineer will be pivotal in ensuring that all civil construction elements are sympathetically and economically designed and integrated into the external heritage framework of the Theatre Royal.

It will meet both the technical demands and the historical sensitivities of the project. The role will also require input into the overall design of a new Heritage / Museum facility, and any structures required as part of the Laneways public space that encompasses the development.
