Project goals
Through this procurement process, DCJ is seeking to invite providers to apply to deliver the statewide spectacles program supporting vulnerable and financially disadvantaged people in NSW to receive free glasses and vision aids as in line with the program specifications.
The tender will occur through Procurement Central for contracts commencing 1 July 2025 and the contracts will be for 5 years duration.
Scope
The NSW Spectacles Program provides funding so that the most vulnerable and financially disadvantaged people in NSW receive free glasses and vision aids as required, to allow them to live fuller lives and avoid preventable deterioration in eye and general health.
The program operates on a market-based model whereby participating optometrists and optical dispensers use their own supply chains to buy program products at an agreed price point, for which they are reimbursed.
