The Council of the City of Sydney invites Requests for Tender for the purposes of completing and supporting the replacement of the network hardware in the City's data centres for the Network Refresh Project in accordance with this request.

The Network Refresh Data Centres project will replace the networking equipment, which will be out of support in June 2025.

The objectives of this project are listed below:

• On-premise network hardware in the City's data centres to be replaced with the newest models of equivalent hardware from the same manufacturer, including licensing, support and maintenance services for 5 years.
• Installation of new hardware in data centres.
• Set up a new Management Server for the data centres or ensure integration with the current Management Server depending on the chosen hardware.
• Migration of configuration from current to new hardware with minimal outages to the City's systems.
• Decommissioning and disposal of existing hardware.
• Provide relevant support and training as part of project delivery and handover to Administration and Business as Usual support teams.
• Ensure that the solution is fit for purpose and has the capability to expand in the future if that is deemed necessary.

The City proposes to enter into a 5-year agreement for proposed hardware and, licensing and support.
