The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) requires an experienced seller to provide Solution Architect services to the National Criminal Intelligence System (NCIS) Program.

The seller will be responsible for the following activities including but not limited to:

• producing Solution Architecture’s in scope artefacts for the nominated initiatives.
• establishing, maintaining and managing internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure high level requirements are transformed into effective development and software engineering.
• working collaboratively with the Program’s Infrastructure subject matter experts (SMEs), Data Engineers, software developers and other technical delivery teams to ensure that detailed design architecture, technical design and implementation aligns with endorsed architectural approaches and solution designs.
• supporting business and development teams with technical and architectural advice to ensure that all aspects of solution designs are correct and documented.
• participating in and implementing governance processes to ensure rigorous review and contestability of technical solution designs and traceability to detailed implementation and testing.
• working with partners and teams to ensure advice and designs are correct and complete from architecture through to detailed technical implementation advice.
• monitoring and maintaining solution architecture quality across all initiatives,
• developing and maintaining Solution Architecture standards and setting best practice benchmarks including alignment of solution architecture practice with other engineering practices (e.g., software development, data engineering, business analysis and testing.
• developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, procedures and priorities for system design models and other design artefacts.
• maintaining internal delivery management mechanisms to ensure resources are effectively allocated to meet agreed timelines and standards
• providing technical design updates to facilitate the implementation activities (Detailed Designs).
• providing Architectural roadmap updates.
• updating architecture documentation to support V10 Baseline
• supporting transition/disengagement artefacts.

This role requires candidates to be onsite in Canberra. Working remotely up to 3 days per week may be negotiated after 6 months subject to approval and in accordance with the ACIC Home Based Work Policy. Seller will be required to meet any costs associated with travel and accommodation should they be incurred for remote work purposes.
