The City of Melville (City) is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Contractor to undertake the supply of Painting Services in various locations across the City.

The Contract period is for an initial term of two (2) years with two (2) additional 24-month option periods which will be exercised at the sole discretion of the City. The City will appoint one Contractor for the provision of the services under the Contract. Please note the City does not guarantee the amount of work which will be required as part of this Contract.

The services under the proposed Contract shall include Emergency Works, High Urgency works, Medium Urgency works, Low Urgency works and Planned works. From time to time, services may be required out of normal working hours and on short notice, refer to item 1.2.5.

At the discretion of the City, the Contractor may be eligible to be awarded Capital Project work up to the value of $30,000.00 excl GST, without the City seeking competitive quotes, provided a formal quote has been submitted by the Contractor and accepted by the City.

Quoted works under $30,000.00 excl GST, that are rejected by the City and Capital Works above $30,000.00 excl GST, will be competitively quoted in accordance with the City's Purchasing Policy and Procedures.

In the event the Contractor is unable to provide the Services required under the Contract, the City reserves the right, to engage a Contractor outside of the Contract to carry out the works.

The City reserves the right to engage a Contractor outside of this Contract for works not specifically covered under this Contract or for works that form part of a Minor or Major Project. The City also reserves the right to engage a Contractor outside of this Contract for works unique to a Contractor.

The works covered under this Contract applies to buildings and facilities and does not apply to external protective coatings (e.g. playgrounds, seating, boardwalks etc.) unless specifically requested by the City.
