Tender Description

NHMRC is revising the 2013 Australian Dietary Guidelines (the Guidelines). The Guidelines provide guidance on foods, food groups and dietary patterns that promote health and wellbeing in the general population. The Guidelines are not for people who require specialised diets for treatment of disease or chronic conditions, but they are aimed at preventing chronic conditions.

NHMRC is seeking Suppliers to conduct four scoping reviews. This includes two reviews on diet and development of sarcopenia or neurocognitive conditions in older adults, one review on Australian studies on diet and environmental sustainability and one review on Australian studies on diet and social or economic sustainability.

Other Instructions:

For a Potential Supplier’s Response to be eligible for consideration the Potential Supplier’s Response must comply with the matters addressed in A.B.4.2 of the Commonwealth ATM Terms.

Conditions for Participation:

All potential suppliers should include the following Specified Personnel:

· an information scientist or research librarian

· content experts with understanding of human nutrition research methodology including human nutrition study design, dietary assessment methodology and outcome measures relevant to nutrition

· methodological experts with experience in systematic and scoping reviews of observational data.

Potential Suppliers quoting to conduct one or both of the diet and sustainability scoping reviews, should also include content experts with an understanding of:

· environmental research methodology (for the environmental impact question)

· social science or economic research methodology (for the sociocultural/economic research question).

All Specified Personnel of Potential Suppliers should provide a completed disclosure of interest form (Appendix A) in the quotation (see A.C.3).

Tenderers must be willing for all Specified Personnel to sign a Deed of Confidentiality (Appendix B) prior to commencing work.

Timeframe for Delivery:

Proposed Start Date: 7 April 2025

Contract Term: The Contract will remain in force for a period of 9 months from the date the Contract is entered into.

Contract Extension Option: The Contract will include the following extension option(s): 2 options to extend of 3 months each.

Responses must be lodged electronically via AusTender before the Closing Time and in accordance with the Response lodgement procedures set out in this ATM documentation and on AusTender.

The Closing Time will be displayed on the relevant AusTender webpage together with a countdown clock that displays, in real time, the time left until Closing Time (for more information refer to AusTender Terms of Use).

For the purpose of determining whether a Response has been lodged before the Closing Time, the countdown clock will be conclusive.
