Tender Description
Ports Victoria (PV) is a statutory authority primarily responsible for the safe navigation of commercial vessels in the port waters of the State’s four commercial ports, together with the facilitation of cruise shipping at Station Pier and at other locations in Victoria. PV provides a critical service for the international and domestic maritime trade needs of Victoria and south-eastern Australia.
We contribute to the enhancement of the economic and social prosperity for the people of Victoria by providing vital infrastructure and services for trade and tourism. We do this by:
- channel management and safe navigation in the waters of the ports of Melbourne, Geelong and Hastings
- waterside emergency and marine pollution response
- the management of Station Pier which is Victoria’s premier cruise shipping facility.
- realising Victorian trade and tourism opportunities for seaborne passengers and freight.
Ports Victoria (PV) is seeking tenders from suitably experienced Respondents for a Port Management Information System (PMIS) including associated implementation, licencing and ongoing system support services.
A PMIS is central to PV’s operations by enabling Victoria’s commercial ports to meet current and future contractual, regulatory, and legislative service levels and requirements.
This procurement will be conducted in accordance with Victorian Government Purchasing Board (VGPB) requirements and targeting a Contract award to a new PMIS service provider in July 2025.
