Tender Description
The Australian Energy Regulator (AER) collects information as part of its regulatory functions. This includes for the purposes of contract market monitoring, wholesale electricity and gas data projects, and wholesale and retail breach reporting. As such the robustness of information handling processes and systems is critical to meeting our confidentiality obligations.
The AER requires a seller to deliver the following:
- an assessment of the current adequacy of the AER’s systems and procedures to securely manage confidential information consistent with section 44AAF(1)
- immediate actions that the AER can take to improve its own systems and procedures to securely manage confidential information in a way that meets section 44AAF(1) of the CCA and industry expectations
- longer term actions the AER should consider implementing to securely manage confidential information consistent with relevant leading practice.
