Tender Description

The Nature Conservancy Australia (TNC) is delivering the Georges River Shellfish Reef Revitalisation Project in NSW, funded by the Australian Governments Urban Rivers and Catchments Program.

TNC is seeking expressions of interest to tender for the reef construction component of the project. The generalised scope of works is as follows:

• Compile Construction and Environmental Management Plans, Safe Work and other documentation to satisfy TNC and approval conditions

• Source and supply specified rock type and volumes

• Manage the rock load-out site at the mouth of the Cooks River on Sydney International Airport land (approval to TNC and sub-contractor pending)

• Construction of up to 30 subtidal reefs as per supplied designs, using approximately 3,000 tonnes of Virgin Excavated Native Material (e.g. limestone or andesite), at the Taren Point subtidal restoration site at the entrance to Georges River.

• Construction of up to 12 intertidal reefs as per supplied designs, using approximately 2,000 tonnes of Hawkesbury Sandstone, at the Audrey Bay restoration site in Georges River

• Pre and post construction bathymetric and geographic survey to confirm ‘as built’ construction certification
