Welcome to the University of Sydney tender for inclusion of suppliers to a newly created Environmental and Sustainability Consultancy Panel (USYD Project ID: WS2259229263).
The following services, relevant to non-residential construction and higher education institutions, are in scope for the Panel:
- Environmental Consultancy Services
- Sustainability Consultancy Services
ELIGIBILITY TO TENDER
1. The following MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS apply for Respondents:
Must comply to both below mandatory criteria A and B:
A. (Mandatory) Flexible and Targeted Engagement: Respondents must offer flexible, project-specific engagements, ensuring their expertise can be accessed as needed without creating additional procedural complexities.
B. (Mandatory) Strategic Industry and Regulatory Relationship: Respondents must have established relationships with industry bodies such as the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) or equivalent organisations, a demonstrated understanding of Green Star standards, and proven experience engaging with regulatory bodies such as the EPA to navigate environmental compliance requirements will be prioritised.
Must comply to either 1 and 2 together or 3:
1. Specialised Environmental Expertise: Respondents must demonstrate a proven ability to provide expert advice in environmental risk management, environmental auditing, regulatory compliance, and environmental and/or sustainability consulting. This includes knowledge of emerging regulatory requirements and sustainability standards relevant to non-residential construction and higher education institutions.
2. Integration with Environmental Planning and Assessment Processes: Suppliers must have experience engaging in environmental impact risk assessments and providing support during environmental planning and assessment processes. This expertise ensures informed decision-making for projects presenting significant environmental impacts or risks.

3. Experience in Sustainable Design Practices (ESD): Respondents must have capability to deliver Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD), particularly in areas such as energy efficiency, water management, and sustainable material selection, in alignment with Green Star or equivalent standards.

2. To be eligible to tender you must also:
1) express your interest to participate in the event, and then
2) be registered with the University as an Ariba bidder
PROJECT TIMING
- The EOI will be released via Ariba Unibuy in March 2025. The date of release will be communicated to participating Respondents at a later stage.
- EOI will close 3 weeks after the release date.
- The University will assess EOI responses and invite the Respondents meeting the critical criteria best to participate in the Panel Prequalification process, estimated to take place during May 2025.
