The Major Sourcing and Acquisitions Branch (MSAB) provides the Department of Home Affairs with specialist transition services to deliver strategic ICT sourcing programs into business-as-usual (BAU) operations, by creating and maintaining an ICT transition framework that delivers:

• Market approaches for bespoke, high value technology acquisitions
• Good transition management for seamless implementation with minimal disruption to stakeholders
• Overall quality program governance to ensure transparency and successful delivery of all major ICT transitions to a BAU function

The MSAB is delivering multiple strategic procurement and transition services as programs of work in 2025 and beyond to replace strategic ICT capabilities for the Department. Each one of these procurements involve a competitive market approach, an in-depth evaluation and negotiation process and executing the resulting contracts into transition projects.

To deliver the transition services, the Transition Hub has been established to manage these services into business as usual operations while minimising risk and business disruption. The Transition Hub will integrate, co-ordinate and oversight all aspects of transition in/out activities and ensure delivering of departmental dependencies.

To assist with the delivery of these programs, MSAB require a seller to provide transition support under a managed service arrangement.

The transition services will include, but not limited to:

• Project manage transition activities related to the outcomes of strategic procurement programs into BAU activities

MSAB is seeking the services of a Seller to facilitate the management of transition projects under a managed service arrangement that can expand and contract on an ‘as needs’ basis as required.

The Seller will be required to provide personnel to project manage ICT contract transition activities related to MSAB strategic sourcing activities.
