Tender Description
The Norfolk Chapel was a target of an arsonist and suffered fire and smoke damage in particular to the condolence lounges. The majority of fire damaged infrastructure has already been removed and the areas cleaned for soot.
The works will include but not be limited to:
- Strip and Reinstatement of solar panels, roof sheeting and insulation to condolence lounges
- Reinstatement of ceilings and carpets and final finishes to condolence lounges
- Removal of ceilings and restatement of ceilings and carpet and final finishes to Chapel
- Removal of fire damaged doors and installation of new doors including sliding doors.
- Removal of existing cupboards to servery and fit out of new cupboards.
- Reinstatement of services.
Site Visit
A site visit will be held at Railway Road, Karrakatta on 4 Mar, 2025 10:00 AM.
There is no parking inside Karrakatta Cemetery. Please do not drive into the cemetery as there may be a funeral taking place.
Parking is available along Railway Parade or at the Karrakatta Train Station.
Representatives are asked to meet outside the front entrance of the Karrakatta Administration Centre and the visit will commence at 10am sharp.
Attendance at the briefing is a pre-requisite to submission and consideration of a bid.
