The Copper Coast Council owns the building situated in the Moonta Bay Car Park (adjacent the shelter) at 200 Bay Road, Moonta Bay. The old ‘first aid’ building has been vacant for a number of years.

Expressions of interest are sought for a business opportunity, operating from the existing building. The internal dimensions of the building are 3.8m x 3.5m wide x 2.65m high.

Required maintenance and upgrades were undertaken on the building in 2024, which included the following:

• New roofing iron and timber member replacement/strengthening;

• Removal of asbestos ceiling and eave materials and replacement with new cement sheeting products;

• Patching and repainting of the interior and exterior; and

• Connection to power and water.

Expressions of interest will need to address if any development works required, how the proposed business would operate, including days and hours of operation and what the proposed use/s would be. The area does NOT include the adjacent shelter, seating and other facilities.

It is proposed for a lease to be developed with the successful expression of interest submitted.

Expressions of interest will be assessed based on the proposed business, days/hours of operation and experience in similar ventures.
