Local businesses are invited to express their interest in integrating Visitor Information Hubs within their establishments, offering a fresh and dynamic approach to how tourists access information while exploring the region.

This exciting initiative aims to extend the reach of Visitor Information services beyond traditional centres, embedding them within complementary businesses such as gift shops, co-ops, provedores, and art galleries. By doing so, participating businesses will not only enhance the visitor experience but also benefit from increased foot traffic, longer dwell times, and greater engagement with potential customers.

Over the past year alone, more than 69,000 visitors sought information at the Tumut and Tumbarumba Visitor Information Centers, underscoring the strong demand for accessible and reliable tourism guidance. By becoming a Visitor Information Hub, businesses will play a key role in enhancing the visitor journey, ensuring tourists can easily discover key attractions, accommodations, dining options, and activities throughout the Snowy Valleys region.

To support participating businesses, Council will provide:

Comprehensive promotional materials to guide tourists effectively

Ongoing support and resources to maintain a high-quality visitor experience
