Tender Description

The Blackall Cultural Precinct (The Precinct) is a transformative, multi-stage development aimed at revitalising the Blackall CBD. This project seeks to create a state-of-the-art facility that celebrates and preserves the region’s rich history and culture. The primary goal of The Precinct is to celebrate and acknowledge the rich First Nations history in the region and establish a cultural and arts hub in Western Queensland.

This is a concept that has yet to be realised in the area. By doing so, Blackall will be positioned as a key centre for the arts and culture in the outback. The project site is located at 55-63 Shamrock Street, Blackall, Queensland. The development is a collaborative effort between the Red Ridge Interior Queensland (Red Ridge) and Blackall-Tambo Regional Council (BTRC).

The project will be delivered with Red Ridge as the Principal to the contract and supported by BTRC as the superintendent and co-client. Red Ridge is committed to fostering healthy, resilient communities in remote western Queensland through art and cultural initiatives that bring people together. Blackall is a small rural town in Central Queensland, known for its rich history and agricultural industry, particularly sheep grazing. Blackall serves as a gateway to exploring the natural beauty of the Outback. Refer to the detailed RFT and subsequent appendices.
